Was The Japan Earthquake The Worst and Most Significant in History?

The Japan earthquake that struck March 11, 2011 along with the resulting tsunami and the damage to some of the nuclear reactors might go down as the worst earthquake in human history so far! How is the Japan earthquake of March 11, 2011 different from all previous earthquakes?

1) The economic factor! While the Japan earthquake is certainly not the earthquake that has caused the most human deaths, so it is not the worst in that category. One of the big differences of the Japan earthquake when compared to previous ones is the economic factor. Previous earthquakes have not caused such great economic consequences to the whole world but only to the area or country affected. It is the worst because it struck Japan which is a major economic world power, ranked as number three after the United States and China. The economic ramifications will be hard and long. It will have a ripple effect upon the whole world in the days to come.

A joint venture is involving two or more company parties in a contractual enterprise. It is comparable to a business partnership, with one main variation: a partnership normally involves a continuing, lasting business connection, while a joint venture is established for a sole business deal. Companies opt to go into a joint venture in order to raise competitive advantages in the market, reduce risks, and combine companies’ strong points.

What Women Want in Men – What Every Man Needs To Know

Women want a man that has a sense of humor:
Women are always happy if you can make them laugh. Just think about it. If you’re a very dull person, you’re a very boring person. Open up and be yourself. Laughter is the best medicine but you shouldn’t push it too far. Don’t get to full of yourself or you’ll end up alone!
Women want a man that listens:
Often you’ll have relationships where the man blocks off everything the women says. Although the man feels better, it’ll only lead to an unhealthy relationship. And yes, women love to talk on and on but that’s OK! Learn to listen properly and if it gets to long make tiny hints that she should stop. Women have a need to be heard and will get emotionally confused if this is not accomplished.

Total War: Shogun Two Review and Giveaway!

Total War: Shogun 2 is the new Creative Assembly strategy computer game now released by Sega. It is the newest title in the Total War Genre (made famous by Total War: Rome) and takes the player back to 16th century Japan. It combines the aspects of Real Time and Turn-Based Strategy Games, but keeps the same style as the previous titles – keeping the same familiarity for it’s fan base.
However, Shogun 2 may not live up to the hype. The controls are clunky, especially in battle – and haven’t changed at all since their last release. I still feal that you cannot zoom far enough out, and I find myself auto-resolving battles almost regularly, instead of enjoying the in-battle gameplay and graphics – which mind you are great, if you zoom into a single unit, which you rarely get a chance to considering you have several units going into battle at once….

You don't need any prior experience to work at home. Access to the Internet is all you need. You simply follow our step by step guide and work whenever & wherever you want for as long as you want. You will be in control of your own hours. The more you work, the more you can earn. We have many students, work from home moms, retirees, and many other men and women who are making a solid steady income. We teach you step by step how to earn a substantial income online!

With the boom of computer technology and the internet, reaching out to people from all walks of life has never been easier. It indeed created a worldwide network of online families, friends, colleagues, and business partners. It also paved way for a new approach of studying and working – in the comfort of our very own homes. Thus, today’s technology fashioned a most innovative way of earning money, and that is by producing jobs that can be done in front of a PC.

The past decade has brought about online tutors/teachers, data entry jobs, and typing jobs among others, and these business opportunities have been continuously becoming more and more popular in our generation. There are a lot of reasons why these online rackets have begun its trend in today’s society, and listed below are some of them.

1. It’s for home buddies. Online jobs can practically be done without leaving your bedroom, or your couch, or your car, or the nearby café. Heck, it can be done anywhere, so long as you have a personal computer or a laptop, and an internet connection.

2. You own your time. A data entry project one hour before you leave for the office, an online student to be tutored once you go home, a short article for an online client to be written during your lunch break – it can be done! Since most online jobs offer part-time and full-time opportunities, people could immediately work out which job is right for them, based on their schedule. You can finish typing jobs over the weekend, or fill out survey forms before you go to sleep. Time is of little essence, just make sure you meet the deadline set by your contact.

3. Age doesn’t matter. A majority of people are already being familiarized, if not already familiar with computers and the magic of internet-surfing. So long as one has access to those ‘business equipments’ and know how to maximize each system, they are good to go. Though some prospective online clients are looking for people aged 18 and above, there are some who aren’t really bothered with the how old you are as long as you are able to deliver the ‘goods’ on time, with an above average level of quality at the very least.

4. No need to be a Harvard graduate. Unless you’re applying for an online teaching career which might still require a board license, your educational attainment matters very little in your online source of income. This is also the reason why college and high school undergraduates who need extra cash get into this racket. Sure, you would be needing some degree of literacy, and English is most probably the language that you’ll be using for this kind of stint, but other than that, your business partner won’t really be asking for your diploma.

Given these grounds, it is indeed no wonder why online jobs are becoming all the rage for people looking for additional wages. Building your online career is as easy as taking a walk in the park. But as with most trades, a little effort and perseverance are also needed to be successful in this field. Once you get your hands on your online work, just make sure that you maintain your professionalism, and you will surely go a long way.

The case for federalism in Uganda: Where Buganda went wrong

Federalism is a political system in which there are two governments i.e. the central government and regional government. The central government is in charge of national issues like budgets, foreign relations, and defence and other international departments. The regional government on the other hand is responsible for domestic issues pertaining to its region. This means one region’s issues are their own and they are expected to deal with it by their own means and resources.

Armah uses symbolism effectively in this novel. The characters in the novel are used as symbols to bring out Armah’s themes and ideas.
The man is used as a symbol of hope. Although the man is alone there is still hope. There is still hope for Ghana to change from the rot and filth to uprightness. The man withstands all temptations from ‘the teeth’ or teacher his wife Oyo. He represents a moral upright Ghana the author uses him to portray his ideal type of Ghana i.e. an honest, enduring and morally upright Ghana. He is rejected by his colleagues because he is honest. He is placed in the category of fools and cowards. Such virtue is not needed in this present day society of Ghana. Despite all the taunts he still stands tall.

A wage in the daily use of the term is the amount one pays to another for doing a particular service. Economists define wage as the price for which labor is bought. Over the years there have been various theories on what wages should be paid to workers. These schools of thought span from earlier on in the industrial revolution to more modern times. The reasons for some of these theories were based on the prevailing circumstances, problems and factors at that particular point in time.

In the narrow sense of the word financial management refers the routine functions which are performed with in the firm to ensure efficient use of funds. In the broader sense financial management is concerned with the raising and allocation of resources within the firm in order to attain the objectives of the firm. The decision of raising funds determines the financing mix. The financial observer is no longer a passive observer. The allocation of funds finally determines the asset mix of the firm and hence its business risk.

In today’s dot com world it is a matter of life and death to have an e-mail account. With globalization taking its effect one has to keep up with the times. E-mail enables fast paced communication unlike the post were it takes up to 3 days or more for the message to reach it you. E-mail saves on paper and is very easy to organize. Most businesses save a lot of money when it comes to email. Instead of sending out circulars or paper invitations they send out emails saving time and money.
There are several email providers. The biggest ones or rather the most common ones are yahoo, Gmail, hotmail, msn. Starting up an email address is free with no extra cost whatsoever. The process of opening an email account is the same for almost all email address providers

An offense is an illegal act that breaks the law. The laws of a country are made through and voted into law by parliament. The laws passed by parliament are called acts or statutes. These acts state what is prohibited and anyone who engages in these prohibitions commits an offense or crime for that matter. There are two universally accepted elements of a crime/offense Actus Reus and Mens Rea. These two principles are regarded by all jurisdictions whether in America jurisdictions or commonwealth countries.

Communication is about people or groups of people relating to one another. It is the way individuals or organization bridge the gap between each other in order to share a common meaning or obtain an equal perception or view on ideas, goals, visions e.t.c it is also a network between individuals or groups in an organization in which particular parties intend to share their perceptions/views of information with other parties.

The Role played by the fool in the play KING LEAR

The fool in King Lear is an all licensed jouster in King Lear’s court. He appears after the disowning and banishment of cordelia. He critics King Lear for this. He goes with Lear into the storm and helps him to realize his own folly. He is responsible for Lear’s change in character towards the end of the play. The fool disappears at the time cordelia comes back.
Apart from the plot development the fool enforces the themes in the play for example self realization. It is the fool by his wise saying and proverbs that change king Lear and help him to see his mistakes. He pens King Lear’s eyes to the injustice that was going on in the kingdom. Lear starts to care for people like the fool and Edgar when he tells them to enter the hovel and he remains outside in the bitter cold.

Distribution is a key element of providing satisfaction in the market place. It involves the physical movement of products to ultimate consumers. A product’s availability is one of the requirements of an exchange.
Distribution is not simply a matter of moving products into the hands of consumers; it involves a product’s movement through all the stages of development; through manufacturing to final sales.

Distribution therefore is a key aspect of adding value to raw materials, of building an appropriate bundle of utility and of moving products to market.

There are two ways of measuring relationships between economic variables.
·         Regression analysis
·         Correlation analysis
Correlation is defined as the degree of relationship between two or more variables. It is also called the simple correlation. The degree of relationship between two or more variables is called multi correlation.

The inception came out towards the end of last year. However the geek in me decided to take a look at it for the umpteenth time since it confused me and some other folks. So I decided to break down the facts of the movie and what facts the movie revolves around. Well here it goes;
The idea; an idea is a plan formed in the mind by thinking or by thought. The major point here is that it has a mental genesis. As stated in the movie the idea is contagious and resilient. It’s likened to a virus, bacteria and disgustingly an intestinal worm. Once an idea is implanted in the mind it can spread like –no pun intended- an Australian forest fire. An idea formed and fully understood can’t be eradicated. It sticks in the brain like a fungus

Injustice in Jane erye is a theme that runs throughout the play. There are several forms of injustice i.e social injustice and child abuse.
At Gateshead we are introduced to theme of injustice. Jane is mercilessly locked up in the red room. This is because she retaliates to the injustice inflicted on her by John Reed. When she is in the red room her conscience cries “unjust, unjust” she has done nothing but she has been looked up. This thus brings out the theme of injustice.

A new firm typically starts as a local operation selling in a limited market. It usually uses existing intermediaries. The problem might be to convince the available intermediaries to handle the firm’s line.
A short distribution channel gives the greatest control to producers. Some products have an image of high quality, and if they were to appear in discount stores and low-quality department stores, their ability to stimulate exchange would diminish.

King Lear is a play about the tragedy of a king. Lear was the king of England. He decides to divide his kingdom because he is very old. He wants to divide the kingdom between he’s three daughters Cordelia, Regan and Goneril. He gives a love test in which each daughter has to declare her love for him. The one who loves him most would take the biggest share. Cordelia, whom he loved the most, refuses to take part in this test and is subsequently banished with the Earl of Kent. King Lear is mistreated by his other two daughters and ends up running into the storm. At the end of the play, King Lear dies an old man full of regret at the demise of Cordelia. Shakespeare uses King Lear to comment on the punishment of vice.
